Obituaries

 

Vaccaro Jr., Luig “Louie” 73, passed peacefully, Wednesday, November 23, at home surrounded by loved ones. Born in Providence, a son of the late Luigi Vaccaro, Sr. and Antonetta (Aquino) Vaccaro, he had lived in Cranston for over 40 years.

Louie was a U.S. Army veteran serving in the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Nelson-Mack VFW Post in Cranston.

He leaves a son Luigi Vaccaro III of Sugarloaf Key, FL, a granddaughter Jessica Vaccaro of Key West, FL, and his companion Lorraine Falco of Cranston. He was the former husband of Margaret Vaccaro of Cranston. Nieces and nephews; Toni Berard, Lynn Shiring, Carlo Jr. and Michael Vaccaro, Shirley Corio, Donna Gonsalves, Cathy Flaxington, Richard, Aime, Steven, Kenny and Patrick Grenier, Manny and Michael Furtado and Michelle Decosta. Frank, Francisco and John Cerullo and Carlene Hanrahan. He was brother of the late Carlo and Andre Vaccaro, Rosalie Grenier and Joanne Furtado.

His life will be celebrated Saturday morning, December 3, from 9-11am with military honors at the Stapleton Family Funeral Home, 684 Park Avenue, Cranston, RI.
