Obituaries

 

Vafiadis, Aspasia, 83, of Cranston passed peacefully Sunday (5/21/2017) at Kent County Hospital.  Born in Larisa, Greece, a daughter of the late Thomas and Sophia Gkalis and wife of the late Pantelis Vafiadis she had lived in Cranston for many years.  

Aspasia was a solderer at Cinerama Jewelry for 24 years before retiring in 1996.

She leaves a daughter Eleni Stamatakis, son in law Vasilios Stamatakis with whom she lived, 3 grandchildren, Christine (Jeremy) Heinz, Michelle (Victor) Bryce and Derek Beaulieu and 3 great grandchildren, Samantha Miller, Andrew Bryce and Cassidy Bryce.

Her life will be celebrated with calling hours Thursday morning 9 to 10:15 in the Stapleton Family Funeral Home, 684 Park Avenue, Cranston.  Funeral Service in the Church of the Annunciation, 175 Oaklawn Avenue, Cranston, at 11:00am.  Burial will follow in Saint Ann Cemetery, Cranston.  Visit stapletonfamilyfuneralhome.com for directions.
