Gorton, Carol A., 78, of Warwick, passed peacefully Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at home, with her family by her side. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Frederick H. and Mary (Curry) Grey. She was disabled for many years. She leaves a son Frederick Gorton of Cranston; two daughters Denise (Vincent) DeSantis with whom she lived in Warwick and Michelle Hawking of Cranston, a brother Steven Grey of Chepachet, a sister Linda Maples of North Providence and 6 grandchildren. Her life will be celebrated Friday from 11:30am to 1:00 pm in the Stapleton Family Funeral Home, 684 Park Avenue, Cranston. Burial will follow in Pawtuxet Memorial Park, Warwick.
