Vera Coronel, Cristobal, 95, of Providence, peacefully passed away Monday, March 17, 2025, surrounded by his family at The West View Nursing and Rehab Center in West Warwick. Born in Chiclayo, Peru he came to the United States in 1985 and became a citizen in 2004. He was the husband of the late Ilse E. Vera for 43 years and settled in Providence. Mr. Vera Coronel was a self-employed cabinet maker before retiring in 2019.
He leaves his sons and daughters; Carmen L. Warner of Cranston, Elvia M. Vera of Warwick, Adolfo Vera of Long Island, Aldo Vera of Peru, Blanca C. Wilhelm of Cranston, Rossio Ambroz of East Providence, Santiago Vera of Long Island, Ilse Richmond of Pomfret, CT, Carla Vera of Texas. He is brother of Tobias Vera of Lima, Peru, 22 Grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was father of the late Edgard Vera.
His life will be celebrated with calling hours Friday from 6-8pm in the Stapleton Family Funeral Home, 684 Park Avenue, Cranston, RI. Mass of Christian Burial will be in St. Paul Church, One St. Paul Place, Cranston Saturday at 11:00am. Burial will be in St Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to St Paul Church, 30 Warwick Avenue, Cranston, 02905 in his memory.
